Lift Off...

I'm so excited to officially launch The Found Art Project with art by the lovely Jolie Guillebeau.

All right everyone, here's where YOU come in. Print out a few copies. Think of a few creative places where you can post this around your town. Leave it folded up in a library book as a surprise for the next reader. Put it on the bulletin board at your favorite trailhead. Staple it to the telephone pole full of flyers for concerts and such. It may be the only art someone sees this week.

Take a photo or leave a comment about your guerilla art postings, I'd LOVE to see them. I'll be starting a flickr group for the project soon. Please let me know if you have any trouble downloading and/or printing the images that are posted.

Don't be shy about sending in your art and words! The world is waiting.

Ready, Set, GO...

Mission: To spread love and compassion throughout the world, through random acts of Art and Literature, produced and distributed by YOU.

Here's the idea:
You submit a ONE PAGE piece of art, poetry, flash fiction, a true story, your favorite quote of all time that you've enshrined in your artwork (giving credit to the source of course), etc. I post it on The Found Art Project blog. Then all 10 (or 10,000) of you reading print it out (on the back of something you've already used, preferably), and post it randomly in your community. Without being obnoxious of course. Be creative. Be kind. Spread the love.
Heal the World.

Go.

PS I had this idea come to me in full-technicolor dream mode, and for once, I decided not to try to find ways to say no to it. I'm saying yes. Will you join me?

Oh, and since I just thought of it about 12 hours ago, this is all a work in progress. But, I need you to spread the word. Tell your friends! Send me linky love! Start sending stuff in.

Coming Soon...

And its going to be amazing. You'll see.
